The true story of the bombardino seems almost a legend. In fact, a young Genoese turned his back to the sea to go and live in the mountains. After a long period as an Officer of the Alpini, in 1974 he was given the management of the Mottolino Refuge. Four friends sitting at the refuge bar began to think about a possible cocktail that could warm up from the freezing cold of winter. Among all the possible combinations the one that most convinced them was the combination of the soft taste of milk with the strong one of Rum and the energizing one of the egg, all heated, made almost boiling. A blend with an unmistakable flavor! A customer tried it and said: Damn! It's a bomb! "The Genoese didn't have it repeated twice and called it Bombardino!
